Ten Years of Željko Lučić at the MET!

On September 26 is a very special date for the Operatic world,  specially the Metropolitan Opera House and fans of the great Serbian Baritone, Željko Lučić, because on this day, September 26 but back in 2006, Željko Lučić made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera House as Barnaba in Amilcare Ponchielli’s La Gioconda.

Željko Lučić is one of the greatest baritones of our time, and along with the also great Leo Nucci, he is one of the greatest as the title role of Rigoletto.

And that is why we are celebraring the 10 year anniversary of Željko Lučić at the Metropolitan Opera House in NY, one of the five most important Opera Houses in the world.
After Željko’s important debut in 2006, we have seen so many, in these last 10 years, many extraordinary performances of Željko in so many different operas and roles. “Macbeth”, Enrico in “Lucia di Lammermoor”, “Nabucco, “Rigoletto”,  Iago in “Otello”, Scarpia in “Tosca” are many of the magnificent performances that Željko Lučić has performed at the Met and in this season we will watch him as Jokanaan “Salome” by Richard Strauss, again in the title role of “Nabucco” (he will take turns with Plácido Domingo) and once again, in the title role of “Rigoletto”.

Congratulations, Bravo Željko Lučić for your Tenth Anniversary at the MET!
