Sergei Rachmaninoff

Now we are remembering Sergei Rachmaninoff on his death anniversary.

In my opinin, Rachmaninoff was the greatest Russian pianist, composer and conductor.

I absolutely love Rachmaninoff’s Piano concertos.

His Piano and Orchestra concertos are magnificent, extraordinary, perfect!

My all time favorite is his Piano Concerto No.2, it’s fascinating, wonderful, in other words, my all time favorite!

I also love his Piano Concerto No.3, it is excellent and it is known for being the most difficult piano concerto to play for a Pianist.

And of course, Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini is another one that I love.

Rachmaninoff trivia: Did you know that Rachmaninoff also composed many songs for voice and piano, to texts by A. N. Tolstoy, Pushkin, Goethe, Shelley, Hugo and Chekhov?

We will celebrate Rachmaninoff again, next April 1th, his birth anniversary!

Celebrating Rachmaninoff!
