Luis Villoro (1922-2014)

We are going to make a tribute to the great Spanish-Mexican philosopher Luis Villoro who recently passed away on March 5th, 2014 at age 91.

Luis Villoro was born in Barcelona, Spain on November 3th of 1922.
He later went to live to Mexico where he spent the rest of his life until his death at age 91.
He was a philosopher, university professor, academic, researcher, diplomat and writer.
He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the UNAM (University National Autonomous of Mexico), The University of Paris (La Sorbonne) and the Ludwiguniversität.
Luis Villoro was also an ambassador of Mexico at the UNESCO in Paris from 1983 to 1987.
He became one of the most important Philosophers of Mexico.
His son, Juan Villoro, born in Mexico, is also one of the most famous and most respected writers of Mexico.
Rest in Peace, Luis Villoro.
