The International Book Fair in Guadalajara, Mexico is the most important editorial meeting of Latin America, one of the most important cultural festivals of the world and it is also the second best international book fair of the world, after the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany and the International Book Fair of Buenos Aires.

Israel is the country that is the guest of honor in this year at the International book Fair of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Created in 1987, the Internaional Book Fair is organized by the University of Guadalajara and is performed from the last Saturday in November and for nine days, in the city jalisciense of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Many brilliant authors and editorials from Mexico and other countries around the world are in the International Book fair, this year the special guests are: Mario Vargas Llosa, winner of the Nobel Prize of literature in 2010, the famous French poet Yves Bonnefoy,

Yves Bonnefoy received the special award of “Literature in Romance languages” in Guadalajara, Mexico. He gave a special speech to many Mexican students and journalists.

Many young Mexican students were very excited on meeting Yves Bonnefoy.

Bonnefoy is the first writer in the French language who receive the award at the Fair in Guadalajara, the most important of the year in which are held in the Spanish language and he feels “very honored”.

“I’m under the impression that I represented not only my own work but also the work of many other authors. On the other hand I am very happy to be in this beautiful city of Guadalajara, and to be for the first time in Mexico,” said the writer.

He also spoke about the spanish language, he admires the”force”, “beauty” and “the light” of the Spanish language.
